I slept in until 11 and had cereal for breakfast.
I had no class today, as I do every Friday, so I had planned on going to a photography exhibit.
On my way to the gallery, I cut through this old vacant lot and there were 4 rottweiler puppies wrestling with each other. I'm sure you can imagine, but it was pretty adorable, even if they were probably homeless or owned by someone homeless. The exhibit was really really good. It was called "Martin Parr : Assorted Cocktail", a collection of Martin Parr's works. It was a photo journalism documenting how obnoxious globalization is and how marketable national pride and Roman Catholicism/Buddhism are and how disgusting tourism can be. Parr is a master of juxtaposition, photographing birds eating Fried Chicken left-overs, kids swimming, literally, in garbage, people taking photos of landscapes with landscapes screen-printed on their t-shirts and handbags, etc.

I bought some potatoes and yellow peppers on the way home. I also bought a new canvas and am excited to paint a new picture. I went skateboarding after dinner, it wasn't too crowded but then some really good guys showed up and annihilated the park. I got home as Gabriel, Aletta and Mario were heading out to a party. I stayed home instead of joining them because my back was hurting after skateboarding. I finished the painting of Chaad and started a new one while listening to the CBC3 "makeout" podcast. They played my Jon-Rae request, which was rad - except Grant Lawrence said the wrong title of the song...
Jens Lekman is playing on the 16th so I'll wait to see him and then I'll go to France.
This is a pen drawing I made of a roadblock in Kenya;
